    3/25/09 - REST IN PEACE KAELA!
    Today was one of the worst days in our life. We put Kaela to sleep at approximately 5:30pm this afternoon. Kaela was the light of our life for more than 10 years, our baby. We are devastated and heartbroken with grief. As many of you know, ...she was diagnosed with bone cancer two years ago. She survived her amputation and 8 rounds of chemo with flying colors. Yesterday we learned that what we thought was a bad case of arthritis, was actually a cancerous tumor in her spine, that had fractured her vertebrae. She also had a tumor in her spleen, that if ruptured, could cause internal bleeding. Kaela was in a lot of pain this past month and we always promised never to let her suffer. Even though this decision was made to do the right thing for Kaela, it was extremely difficult not to be selfish and keep her around for as long as possible. Our only consolation is that we firmly believe all dogs go to heaven and Kaela is there now, running and jumping and eating, pain free and happy.

    The name METAL DOG was derived from my Chinese Zodiac!

They are bold, unafraid to disagree out loud about anything they feel is unjust or unfair. Metal Dogs are easily stressed if a plan does not go accordingly. They find it difficult to relax when there are things to be done.
